The Board of Creditors of the Sombor-based footwear manufacturer Boreli has rejected the bid by the German company Stumpp & Baier, the sole bidder at the previous public invitation for the lease of the facility of DP Boreli in bankruptcy, eKapija learns.

As Pavel Severini, the bankruptcy trustee at Boreli, told our portal, this long-term partner of the Sombor company offered EUR 3,000 a month for the lease of the production facility, which was rejected because the price should have been EUR 6,000 according to the terms of the invitation.

The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency therefore placed a new ad for the lease of the production capacities in Sombor on November 10. The production hall has around 3,900 m2 of effective area, and the offer includes footwear manufacturing machinery, infrastructure and office equipment and furniture, all of which is leased as a single unit.

According to Severini, there are already potential partners interested in the documentation, and Stumpp & Baier has not given up on the lease either. This time, the price is in their favor, as the minimal acceptable monthly lease has been lowered to EUR 3,000 in dinar countervalue.

The business-technical cooperation between Boreli and the potential lessee entails the provision of production capacities, including full equipment and movable objects used in the process of production, by the bankruptcy debtor, whereas the bidder is to organize the continuation of the production process for the purpose of the maintenance and potential increase of the market share in the production and sales of leather footwear, the ad states.

It is also added that the bidder obliges to carry out the production in the location of the bankruptcy debtor, as well as to hire at least 50 people who were employed or engaged in the Sombor factory on the date of March 15, 2017, over the period of three months from the signing of the agreement.

The agreement on the business-technical cooperation is signed for a period of time until the conditions are met for the sale.

Written bids are to be sent to the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency Novi Sad by November 17, at 11:45 am, and the opening is to take place 15 minutes later.

Let us remind that the Sombor-based Boreli signed an agreement on the business-technical cooperation with the Belgrade-based company Darfur in May, which was terminated in late September, when the production was stopped as well. According to media writings, however, the company was interested in the Sombor factory again, sending a letter of intent during the previous public invitation.
