Batagon asks for new talks with FAS creditors – Swiss company not giving up on the purchase?
– I have notified the interested buyer and offered it to continue the negotiations about the purchase of Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor. They have asked for a phone conference with the Board of Creditors and I assume that, in addition to representatives of the Board, the potential purchaser and a representative of the bankruptcy trustee will take part in it, as was the case the previous time – says the bankruptcy trustee, Predrag Ljubovic.
He notes that Batagon wants to present its position, as he assumes that they have not given up on the purchase.
Let us remind that the Board of Creditors rejected Batagon's EUR 7 million offer a week ago.
When asked how it was possible for Batagon to continue negotiating without a guarantee, Ljubovic said that it was the bankruptcy trustee who defined the rules in direct agreement and that he believed that they would not have a problem securing a new guarantee.
