Ivica Todoric has been released pending trial, on bail not exceeding GBP 100 thousand.

– I'm glad to see you, I'm going home. This is a small victory, I am now a citizen of London – Todoric said after leaving the court.

The Tomanovic law office, one of the law offices representing Ivica Todoric, confirmed for N1 that Todoric had voluntarily responded to the English judiciary and that he had given statement regarding the proceedings being carried out against him in Croatia and the European arrest warrant issued by Croatia.

Todoric gave the statement in the presence of his English lawyer, Timothy Otty, the most famous human rights lawyer in Great Britain, who represented former Guantanamo detainees and was one of the representatives of Miroslav Miskovic.

As N1 learns, the judge released Todoric with precautionary measures. As his passport was confiscated, he needs to wear an ankle bracelet. The next hearing is scheduled for April 2018. N1 unofficially learns that Todoric opposed the extradition.

As the Croatian media reported, the most wanted Croat at the moment, owner of Agrokor, against whom a red arrest warrant was issued, handed himself in to the London police on Tuesday morning, November 7.
