Creditors of Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor reject offer by Batagon – EUR 7 million insufficient
– The bidder will be notified of the rejection and presented with a proposition for the continuation of the process if they are interested – the bankruptcy trustee, Predrag Ljubovic, said.
Ljubovic says that there are three options now, namely, to continue negotiating with Batagon, whose banking guarantee expired back on October 19, to place a new ad, or to wait for the announced proposition by the Board of Creditors.
When asked whether there is a solution for including other parties in the process of purchase even without a new public invitation, the bankruptcy trustee answered that neither of the remaining four interested legal persons that had bought the documentation had contacted them in the previous three months.
Ljubovic said that, if someone showed interest, he would be ready to start negotiations, but that everything, as always, would be decided by the Board of Creditors. Further steps will be defined very quickly.
The process of the sale of the property of FAS started back in late July. The sole bidder, the Swiss company Batagon International AG, has sent as many as five bids, neither of which was of sufficient quality according to the Board of Creditors.
