Completion of regional dump "Duboko" in one year
Works on
construction of regional dump "Duboko" near Užice, which will be used
by nine municipalities and cities from the Zlatibor region and the Moravica
region, will last for another year because the ownership-legal relations have
not been resolved yet, as well as because foreign investors request that European
building standards be respected.
Construction of that facility, which will encompass a recycling center, commenced last year, after municipalities and cities of Užice, Čačak, Čajetina, Arilje, Ivanjica, Požega, Lučani, Kosjerić and Bajina Bašta had signed the contract on financing of works and use of future dump.
Funds for construction of the dump, in amount of about 12.5m EUR, have been provided. In addition to the loan of 5m EUR, European Agency for Reconstruction has backed the project with 3m EUR, while the interested municipalities and the Government of Serbia provided the rest of the funds.
According to the plan, equipment in the waste recycling center should be installed in spring 2009, whereas the transfer stations that will be preparing the waste for recycling will be built in aforementioned municipalities.
