Indjija looking for partner for construction of aquapark – Geothermal water found at around 1,300 meters

The Municipality of Indjija is looking for a co-investor for the construction of the aquapark, so that the project might finally be realized, Sremska TV reports.

– EUR 500,000 has been invested in the project so far and we are now looking for a serious partner – said president of the Municipality of Indjija, Vladimir Gak.

He said that the future aquapark would be located in close proximity to the Fashion Park Outlet center and that it was a complex of 60 hectares, Sremska TV reports.

As he added, a borehole has already been dug through at the location, which has lead to a discovery of geothermal water with a temperature of 61 degrees at the depth of 1,300 meters.

Let us remind that the construction of an aquapark in Indjija, whose investor was supposed to have been BlackOak Developments, was announced in mid-2015. It was said at the time that an aquapark modeled after those in Dubai would be built in Indija, and the project had been estimated at EUR 40 million. The outdoor section should have taken up 100,000 m2, whereas the indoor section was supposed to spread on 10,000 m2, so that visitors could enjoy the complex in winter months as well.

BlackOak Developments owns the Fashion Park Outlet center.
