Tender for sale of Glass industry Pančevo declared unsuccessful
Tender for
sale of Glass industry "Pančevo" has been declared unsuccessful
because the only bidder, Greek company "YIOULA Glassworks", gave up
the procurement.
- This was
the third tender for sale of 100% of capital of Pančevo-based Glassworks
because there were no potential buyers on the first two – Privatization Agency
announced.
On the third tender, which was announced in October 2007, the documentation was
purchased by companies from Bulgaria and Slovenia, but they have not submitted
the obligatory bids.
"Staklara" (Glassworks) from Pančevo is the only manufacturer of flat
glass in Serbia and it has the capacities for production of glass for
automobile industry, special glass and medical packaging.
The factory, which has about 400 workers, owns facilities at 150,000 square meters. The company’s capital has been estimated to about 17m EUR, while the debts amount to 6m EUR.
