Ambassador of Poland to Serbia Tomasz Niegodzisz visited Cacak on Monday, October 23, 2017, and announced cooperation of Polish businessmen with the company Sloboda.
– I expect our first visit to be fruitful and to initiate the cooperation. The Polish are interested in purchasing your products, but, as Poland too has good companies in the military industry, it would be desirable for us to work on an exchange as well – Niegodzisz said.
He said that the cooperation should be enhanced not just in terms of business, but in terms of economy, culture and science as well.
The relations between Poland and Serbia are the best they have ever been at this point, the honorary consul of Serbia in Poland, Ranko Tomovic, said on this occasion.
– The mutual cooperation is great thanks to efforts made by both sides, but there's still plenty of room for us to do more. The economy is the primary field, and the export of Serbian products to Poland is not negligible. Primarily, there's the automotive industry and Fiat's cars. Serbia and the city of Cacak have the potential and the cooperation can therefore progress at an incredible pace. Aside from promoting the economy, we also need to work on promoting the tourism, so that the Polish would get to know the beauties of our country as well as possible – Tomovic pointed out.
According to Mayor Milun Todorovic, it was announced at the meeting with representatives of the local self-government that the already established cooperation would be enhanced even further in the next period.
– There's already the idea to organize a visit to Polish companies, and we also expect a visit by Polish businessmen, who are to visit our cities and companies this spring to the end of establishing an even more intensive cooperation – Todorovic stated.
