The Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a public invitation for the services of professional consultant for preparation of tender documentation and preparation and carrying out of a public bidding for the awarding of the concession for exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in the territory of the FB&H.
The estimated value of the contract without VAT is BAM 1,282,051 (around EUR 657,000).
The bid submission deadline is December 4, 2017.
The previous procedure for seeking a consultant for exploration and exploitation of oil and gas, initiated in 2014, was stopped and restarted several times. The Government of the FB&H adopted new regulations in late 2015, as it had been determined following the tenders that no bidder met the required criteria regarding the qualifications needed to provide the services of running negotiations and the preparation of the contract modality.
The company Shell, which gave up on the cooperation with the Government of the FB&H in 2015 due to a drop in the oil prices in the global market, has now once again expressed interest in a business cooperation and the activities to the end of selecting a consultant have been accordingly reinitiated.
However, representatives of Shell didn't appear at the meeting that was supposed to be held with the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry today.
