Regional Portal of Business Registers of Western Balkans soon

The director of the Business Registers Agency of Serbia, Zvonko Obradovic, stated in Skopje that businessmen of the region knew no limits, which is why it is necessary for the official business registers of the SEE countries to connect, the website of the Government of Serbia reports.

At the gathering on the occasion of the celebration of 15 years of activities of the Central Register of Macedonia, Obradovic announced that the official registers of Serbia and Macedonia would start providing business information and data from the official registers regionally, through the Regional Portal of Business Registers of the Western Balkans, in 2018.

– Starting next year, the register services will first start being provided by the Business Registers Agency and the Central Register of the Republic of Macedonia, whereas Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro have also expressed interest in connecting through a regional IT platform – he pointed out.

The project is envisaged by the memorandum of understanding between the Government of Republic of Serbia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on cooperation in supporting the investment climate and the governance initiative for Serbia.

The implementation of the project is based on the grant agreement Serbia: Development of the Regional Portal of Business Registers of the Western Balkans, signed between the Business Registers Agency and the EBRD.
