Reconstruction of road from Pozega to Ivanjica in 2018 – Works estimated at around EUR 10 million
According to the confirmation InfoLIGA got from this public enterprise, the implementation of the services of the preparation of the Main Project for the rehabilitation of the Pozega-Ivanjica section is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by February or March 2018. Following that, the public procurement procedure for the contractor is to start.
The section to be reconstructed is 38.93 km long, and the works have been estimated at around EUR 10 million. They are financed from the funds of the World Bank and the European Investment Bank, and the Republic of Serbia is to provide a part of the funds as well.
Following the completion of the plan, the details of future interventions will be clearly defined and will pertain to the improvement of traffic safety, the Roads of Serbia said.
As the InfoLIGA portal learns, the works will entail a partial extension and rehabilitation of the lanes, an upgrade of the drainage system, the repair of the facilities and the modernization of the signalization.
The project of rehabilitation of the road network in Serbia, which covers 1,100 km of state road network of 5,000 km in total, is the first phase of the National Program of repair of priority sections in the country, which will cost EUR 390 million. It encompasses the rehabilitation of 54 sections, according to the list of priorities defined based on the state of the roads and the criterion of economic feasibility of the investment. The realization of the program began in 2015 and is meant to take four years, InfoLIGA reports.
