The Belgian company T4B plans to open a production facility in Zrenjanin, as reported by the Zrenjaninski portal. The company's development manager, Beni de Cipeleir, says that they are satisfied with how they were welcomed and that they are planning to start a business in Zrenjanin.
– We feel welcome here, where we plan to start a business. Our company, which produces window blinds and decoration, is currently expanding. We have over a thousand workers in Belgium, and we now plan to expand the business to Serbia – he said.
Roel Elfring, the company's director for Serbia, said that the activities in the Southeast-Ecka Industrial Zone would begin within the Free Zone. Initially, it will be a brownfield investment, and the plan is for them to build their own facility afterwards. He said that the land had already been set aside and that the plan was to initially employ 30 to 35 people.
– We plan to initially use available facilities and to start building our own in about a year and a half on the land we have already reserved. We want to produce articles we don't have in Belgium here. For a start, we plan to have 30 to 35 workers, whereas the number would later grow to 150 – Elfring announced.
Mayor Janjic said he was satisfied that the Belgian company had chosen the town as the one to invest in.
– We are having parallel negotiations with several foreign investors, and today, we are close to reaching the final agreement with this Belgian company, which is interested in initiating production here, that is, of realizing a brownfield investment. They have reserved the land in the Southeast zone, where they are supposed to raise a facility – Janjic pointed out.
