Share Fund of Serbia offered package of 40.19% of stocks of "Žitoprodukt" from Kragujevac for sale on Belgrade Stock Exchange

The Share Fund of Serbia has offered the package of 40.19% of stocks of "Žitoprodukt" from Kragujevac for sale on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

The stocks are offered at the starting price of 417m RSD (5.4m EUR). Total of 10,412 stocks of the Kragujevac-based manufacturer of flour and bread is offered for sale on the auction at the price of 40,097 RSD per stock.

According to the data provided by the Belgrade Stock Exchange, this is the third attempt of sale of the package of stocks of "Žitoprodukt" owned by the Share Fund and Pension and Disability Insurance Fund.

The stocks of "Žitoprodukt" entered the Belgrade Stock Exchange in June 2006 and their starting price was 60,000 RSD, but they have never been traded on the stock exchange.

"Žitoprodukt" owns bakery and milling unit with silos in Kragujevac. Total incomes of this company in 2007 amounted to 663m RSD, while the loss amounted to about 11m RSD.


It is stated on the web site of the Central Securities Registry that the largest package of stocks of "Žitoprodukt", that is, 40.66% of stocks, is owned by "Žitotprodukt komerc". The Share Fund owns 30.18% of stocks, Pension and Disability Insurance Fund owns 10%, while remaining 19.16% of stocks are in the possession of minor stockholders.
