New bridge on the Danube near Beška prior to September 15, 2009
Minister of Infrastructure, Milutin Mrkonjić, has announced that the new bridge accross the Danube near Beška will be finished prior to September 15, 2009.
On the occasion of his visit to the building site, Mrkonjić said that that bridge was one of the most important projects on Corridor 10 and he announced that the Corridor would be finished prior to year 2010.
He pointed out that the new bridge was part of Belgrade-Horgoš highway.
The span of the bridge will be 2,205 meters and it will be the "twin" of the existing bridge designed by Branko Žeželj.
Construction of bridge is financed from the loan approvide by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the contracted price of works is about 3 billion RSD.
