The company Despotija has started transporting cargo by railway in Serbia today, the Infrastructure of the Serbian Railways reports.

This is the fourth operator to use the public railway infrastructure, after Srbija Voz, Srbija Kargo and Kombinovani Prevoz.

As the press release says, Despotija meets all the requirements for transport in line with the Law on Railways, as it owns the necessary license and the certificate of transport safety.

It will transport rocks produced by Kovilovaca, a Despotovac-based company which deals in rock excavation, production and traffic. The rocks in question are used for preparing aggregates for concrete and in road construction.

The new railway transporter owns various types of train engines and a special car for the transport of open containers. The schedule includes daily departures at 2 p.m. from Despotovac to Markovac and at 5:54 p.m. from Markovac to Kisac.
