AmCham Serbia forms Energy Board

Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Serbia notified Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic that they had formed the Energy Board, the aim of which is to improve the regulatory framework in the field of energy by establishing a constructive dialogue with the relevant state institutions.

As the Ministry of Mining and Energy reported, Antic said that the goals of the newly formed board are very important and the the ministry would provide the necessary support in line with its competences in order for the cooperation with the board to be carried out to the interest of all involved parties.

Antic added that Serbia had improved the regulatory framework in the field of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency and noted that it meant safety of investment in those fields for companies within AmCham.

Representatives of AmCham told the minister that the Board members also included renowned companies outside the USA, such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, NIS, MK Fintel Wind, Continental Wind and others.
