Serbia will aid municipalities in Republika Srpska, as well as the municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina primarily populated by Serbs, with around EUR 5.5 million, announced President Aleksandar Vucic following the meeting with Milorad Dodik, president of RS, and prime ministers of Serbia and RS.

President Vucic said at a press conference that decisions on several projects of help and support to the people and the institutions of RS had been adopted.

Vucic announced that the Republic of Serbia would finance the construction of kindergartens in Trebinje and Brcko, as well as a students’ home in Vlasenica.

– Streets in pale will be reconstructed, as well as sports halls and the square in East Sarajevo. The reparation of the bridge on the Drina between Zvornik and Mali Zvornik is also planned – Vucic added.

– This amounts to around EUR 4 million and Serbia will provide support to the municipalities in the Federation primarily populated by Serbs, such as Grahovo, Drvar, Petrovac and Glamoc, with a million euros for various projects.

In total, this will amount to EUR 5.5 million, President Vucic said.

The president stated that a team of several people had been formed for the purpose of preparing a Declaration which would encompass the right to use the Serbian language and the Cyrillic script, the right to study and nurture Serbian culture, the right to study Serbian history and nurture the Serbian tradition of freedom, to preserve national geography, the right to preserve and protect Serbian cultural and historical heritage and the right to information presented in Serbian.

These, as Vucic said, are the spheres to be encompassed by the Declaration, in line with international public and legal documents.

Dodik said that he was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting and pointed out that the current period was the best one regarding the cooperation between Serbia and RS, looking by concrete projects.

– All the projects we have applied for have been accepted by the president and the prime minister of Serbia – Dodik said and added that the projects would solve numerous infrastructural problems and raise the quality of life.

The meeting between President Vucic, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic, President Dodik and Republika Srpska PM Zeljka Cvijanovic was held at the Presidency building in the Andricev Venac Street.
