Big Chinese investment in Zrenjanin soon?

President Aleksandar Vucic stated on September 1 that there were negotiations with the Chinese about a huge potential investment in Zrenjanin, but that he was not able to disclose the details at the moment, and added that it would be one of the biggest investments in the country.

– We are talking with the Chinese on a daily basis and we are trying to bring good news to Zrenjanin, which, aside from Draxlmaier, has no new factories – the Vucic said to the press.

He points out that this would be very important for middle Banat, as the area has been draining of population in the past twenty years, and the investment would also encompass the surrounding municipalities of Zitiste, Secanj and others.

– We are working on a huge investment and there's a 50% chance it will arrive to our country. If this happens, the investment will be realized in Zrenjanin.
