Revenue of 100 biggest companies in Serbia exceeds EUR 21 billion in 2016

Top 100 companies in revenue in Serbia in 2016 generated more than EUR 21.4 billion of revenue together. That is EUR 2.2 billion more than in 2015, when collective income of leading 100 companies totaled more than EUR 19.3 billion, according to an analysis of the company for business information, Cube Tea.

Total revenue of all companies in Serbia in 2016 totaled slightly more than EUR 25.3 billion. At the same time, total number of companies was 87,096, while the number of employees was about 620,000.

Among the top 100 Serbian companies, top 10 participate with 35% of total revenue of the leading 100.The list of the most successful comprises companies that were set up in 2016 and already rank 16th, 51st and 86th in revenue. These are Phoenix Pharma from Belgrade, Winwin shop Cacak and Modicum from Belgrade. Revenue sum of these three "new stars" among the most successful is about EUR 64.

9. Telenor doo, Beograd EUR 379,9 m

10. Philip Morris, Niš EUR 336,2 m

Among the companies with the biggest jump compared to 2015, there is Carnex, which ranked from 127th to 98th , then Akcionarsko društvo za upravljanje javnom železničkom infrastrukturom, Beograd (Joint Stock Company for Management of Public Railway Infrastructure, Belgrade), which ranked from 202nd place in 2015 to 65th in 2016 and Philip Morris, who ranked 20th and with an increase in revenue, reached 10th position.These data are based on previously submitted balance sheets available on ABR. ABR has not yet released all the information, but vast majority it has. It is about revenue, not about profit that actually is what remain when costs are deducted from revenue.
