DINKIĆ: Two new companies interested in RTB "Bor"
(Mlađan Dinkić)
Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, said that the interest in participation in the tender for Mining-Smelter Basin "Bor" had been expressed by one of the world's largest multinational companies and certain new company from Russia.
He could not name these two companies, but he specified that they had not participated in the tenders for RTB before and that the Russian company would be in the consortium with Greeks.
- New tender for RTB will be announced in July and, so far, more companies have expressed interest in procurement of RTB than on the previous two tenders. That means that the new model of privatization in the third attempt will give a good result - he estimated.
Dinkić added that RTB was attractive because the buyer would take over only the commercial obligations of the company, while the national debt would be turned into capital.
- A new company will be formed and the one who offers higher level of investments and backs that with the appropriate banking guarantees will be the winner on the tender. The state will be the co-owner in the joint venture, but RTB will be run by the strategic investor - he said. Most Important News
