Zagreb Airport realizes 50% more cargo transport in July 2017

The Zagreb Airport realized so far the biggest turnover of goods and mail of nearly 1.15 million kilograms in July 2017, which is nearly 50% more than in July 2016, and the Emirates airline transported the biggest amount of goods.

– This July was truly record-breaking for the Zagreb Airport, not just looking by the number of passengers, but also by the biggest amounts of goods transported in this airport’s history, and the deliveries mostly consisted of pharmaceutical products, IT equipment, easily spoilt goods and other special packages and mail – the company- concessionaire MZLZ emphasizes.

With the record-breaking turnover of goods and mail, the Zagreb Airport ended the first seven months of 2017 with 5,064 tons of goods and 1,179 tons of mail transported.

MZLZ also emphasizes that cargo transport entails the transport of packages of considerable proportions and weight, quite valuable, or especially sensitive. Such goods are stored in a specially designated section of the airplane, located below the passenger area.
