Serbia is in 3rd place as in most favorable conditions for production list, while in the sector for services it occupies 7th place, according research of consultant-revisor company, "PricewaterhouseCoopers".

As it was announced in the report, Serbia has taken a surprisingly high position on both indexes, despite the fact investors are just starting to think about Serbian market, as the country is still recovering from the crisis and conflicts it had in the '90s.

The research was done in June for 34 countries, whose GDP is less than 13.500 USD per citizen, and who had more than 5.000.000 citizens in 2007.

What makes Serbia attractive to investors is a fact that political risk was decreased for 50% since 2004, when it took 25th place by the index for production, it is stated in the research.

The criteria for rankings were low expenses of production, closeness of exporting markets and tax rates, low expenses of working force, and political risk.

For rankings in the sector for development of market services, it is important a relatively high GDP per citizen, as 90% of the services is being sold at domestic market.

This year, Egypt takes the first place according conditions of the production, and Polland within services sector.
