The Swiss company Movenpick Hotels & Resorts is interested in setting up business in Montenegro in the Bay of Kotor, starting next season, said Olivier Chavy, the company's CEO.

He said for Vijesti that the company was interested in several projects, that is, existing hotels, which they were looking to manage, but he could not discuss the details at the moment.

– There are wonderful projects here, there's already Aman Resorts, Four Seasons, Orascom, One and Only and I think it makes sense to have a Movenpick here as well. We want to be a part of the branding strategy of this part of Montenegro – said Chavy, who visited Montenegro last week, discussing potential business arrangement in the country with representatives of the government, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic and Minister of Tourism Pavle Radulovic.

According to him, they've found two or three potential management projects on the seashore related to the existing hotels in the bay.

– It's too soon for me to discuss this, we will have concrete information by the end of the year – Chavy said.

He said that the company saw that Montenegro “has potential for them”, as well as the potential to open this part of the Balkans.

Movenpick currently has 85 operating hotels, whereas 38 are under construction.
