The Nikola Tesla Airport has opened a tender for the procurement of the equipment for self-registration of passengers and luggage.

The new investments are in line with the IATA Fast Travel StB initiative, and the procurement of the equipment entails the utilization of software, implementation service and system maintenance. The using of the new software platform, as said, should enable access to information systems of airlines from individual kiosks for self-registration of passengers and luggage (CUSS kiosk), as well as equipment for self-handing over of luggage (SSBD).

For passengers, this means that they will be able to register for the flight, print out a Bag Tag and then hand over their luggage at designated points, all by themselves.

The implementation also entails full integration into the current passenger registration counters and using the already available system of conveyor belts.

As stated in the documentation, the Nikola Tesla Airport had a total of 4,924,992 passengers in 2016.
