The general manager of the Chinese company Hunan Gold Group, Chen Ze Lu, visited RTB Bor and, following the tour of the cut and several facilities, said that he hoped for a successful cooperation.

Representatives of the Chinese company visited the Veliki Krivelj open cut, the local floatation, the new smelter and the sulfuric acid plant in the company of the general manager of RTB Bor, Blagoje Spaskovski.

– The technology and the cuts we've seen today have made a big impression on us and I hope that we will establish a successful cooperation with Bor, to mutual benefit – said Chen Ze Lu.

As Vecernje Novosti writes, Hunan Gold will enter RTB Bor by the end of the year. An agreement on strategic partnership, according to which Serbia is to keep a part of the ownership over the Bor basin, will be signed with the Chinese state giant.

According to the Belgrade newspaper, the company will enter the partnership with RTB Bor as part of a consortium featuring another Chinese company, and representatives of these companies visited Bor twice last week and talked about the future cooperation. The Chinese, as Novosti learns, are interested in the Cerovo mine, as well as explorations at greater depths at the Borska river.

Before they sign an agreement with RTB Bor, the Chinese require of Serbia to, above all, have the property relations resolved. They are not interested in either the Pre-Packaged Reorganization Plan, or the surplus employees. They expect the state of Serbia to solve this, in order for them to enter the strategic partnership.

Serbia, however, will not fully waive the ownership in the Bor basins. According to Novosti's findings, the country will have the same kind of agreement with the Chinese company as with Naftna Industrija Srbije, meaning that it will keep a part of the ownership over RTB Bor.

Hunan Gold was founded by the National Assembly of the Hunan Province in 2006. It invests and exploits gold and produces and markets associated products, provides consulting and technical services related to technologies and projects in mining and metalworking. Looking by strength and size, it is the seventh company in gold production, second in antimony production and an important wolfram production company in China. It is a part of the China Gold Association.
