The jury at the contest for the design of a Zoran Djindjic monument has completed the first round and selected six of the 40 works submitted, Tanjug learns.

City Manager Goran Vesic says that the City of Belgrade is proud that 40 artists took part in the first round of the Zoran Djindjic monument contest.

– The jury has selected the six best works and we are now waiting for October, when the awards will be handed out and the best work selected, which will then be realized – Vesic said for Tanjug and reminded that the monument was being raised at the proposal of President Aleksandar Vucic.

City Architect Milutin Folic says that the monument will be located in the Studentski Trg Street, once the street has been developed in line with the new design by the president of the jury, Boris Podrecca. He emphasized that the jury consisted of eminent people, among which, aside from Podrecca, are painter Vlada Velickovic, Slovenian sculptor Mirsad Begic and others.

As published earlier, the monument to Zoran Djindjic should be set up on March 12, 2018.
