Srbija Kargo has opened a tender for the purchase of 8 new electric locomotives, and the funds are to be secured from the loan by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the expenses on Corridor 10.

The procurement encompasses 8 three-system electric locomotives for freight trains, including the training of staff for using and maintaining the locomotives, the delivery of special tools, testing devices and spare components.

The tender, as said in the documentation, is open for companies from any country, and the procedure will be carried out in two stages, so as to ensure that all bidders meet the technical standards and the minimum of the requirements.

As part of the first stage, the bidders are to submit technical bids by August 10, whereas the second one entails the price proposal, the deadline for which is to be defined by the purchaser. The bid, as stated, must be accompanied by a tender guarantee in the amount of EUR 1 million.
