The Đoković family to start construction of tennis center in Kragujevac in October
Construction of tennis center in Kragujevac, which is financed by company owned by Novak Đoković's family - "Family sport", will start in October 2008.
- The rough construction works will start in October 2008, and the contract on cooperation with the Đoković family will be signed very soon- said the Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, and confirmed that the local self-government fulfilled all obligations regarding location and infrastructure for future "the city of tennis" in Kragujevac.

Stevanović, announced negotiations with the Đoković family about participation in another big project that is of great important to the public utlity economy of the city.
The father of the famous tennis player, Srđan Đoković, said that they would invest more money than it had been initially planned.
- We have decided to expand capacities of the future business-tennis complex in Kragujevac, first of all, the hotel and the trade center. It is most likely that we will invest more funds that it has been initially planned - said he, but he did not specify the new amount of investments.

denied speculations that that family had given up construction of the tennis center in Kragujevac and added that the family was also interested in affirming tennis in other cities in Serbia through similar projects. - There are no obstacles for such project in Kragujevac, and it will be implemented at the same time as the construction of the center in Belgrade - said Srđan Đoković.
He pointed out that the businessmen from Israel were very interested in being co-investors of the project in Kragujevac.
Stevanović said that there were more famous sportsmen who invested in Kragujevac. Basketball players Vlade Divac and Nikola Lončar have recently bought land in settlement Stara Radnička Kolonija, accross the road from the location where center "Plaza" is going to be built.
- Construction of residential-office space at 36,000 square meters is in the pipeline - said the Mayor of Kragujevac.
