Macedonian company MGI starts production at Yumco's facility? - Work for 500 people by 2020

On Tuesday (June 20, 2017) the director of Macedonia Garment Industry (MGI) from Skopje Marcel Meles and the director of the Free Zone Vranje Goran Zivkovic signed a Memorandum of Understanding it was published at the website of the City of Vranje.

This Macedonian company, which has been operating since 2008 and is a specialized manufacturer of men's trousers, is interested in a long-term lease of a part of Yumco production facilities of 4,000 m2, which are in the Free Zone operating mode.

The estimated investment value is about EUR 1.3m and in the period of 3 years the plan is to employ about 500 workers.

Nenad Antic, deputy mayor, emphasized that Vranje has a rich industrial tradition, qualified workers and that local self-government is ready to provide all logistical support to investors.

Representatives of the company from Macedonia, outlined that Vranje has chosen for its personnel potential, extremely favorable position and responsible attitude towards investors, as well as numerous business reliefs.
