Piraeus banking group appointed Dimitriosa Frangetis for the new President of Executive Board of Piraeus bank in Serbia.

Frangetis will take his position immediately after he gest official permit from the National Bank of Serbia.

Frangetis is becoming the new President of the Executive Board after he gained rich experience on responsible managerial positions in field of banking and finance. Before he entered Piraeus banking group, during 16 years of work in Greek ANZ Grindlays bank , he was on the position of the Manager of the Sector for funds and liquidity, Manager of the affairs with the economic sector and Deputy CEO, after which he became the Vice President and then the Executive Manager of Ionian bank. After he was appointed member of the ADministrative Board and Chief Executive Officer of Emporiki bank, he became president of numerous adjoined companies.

He joined Piraeus banking group in 2004 when he became the Executive Manager of Tirana bank, the second largest bank on Albanian market, which had 430 employees and network of 40 branch offices at the end of year 2007.

During the time Frangetis was the manager, total credit portfolio of the bank was increased 5 times, while the profit was 3 times larger. Dimitrios Frangetis was also a member of the Executive Board of the ASsociation of Greek Banks.
