Marfin bank changes name into Expobank
The change of corporate name and visual identity is the result of bank ownership structure changes and the acquisition of Marfin banka Beograd by Expobank from the Czech Republic which was done February 28, 2017.
The usage of the new name of the bank is starting June 19 and the bank’s business network rebranding process will take place during June, it was stated.
In March this year, it was announced that Expobank became the first Czech bank which stepped into the Serbian market through the takeover of Marfin Bank.
In September 2016, Cyprus Popular Bank agreed to sell to Marfin Bank, and after obtaining the approval of regulatory authorities in the Czech Republic, Serbia and Cyprus the transaction was completed.
Expobanka owns 100 percent of shares at Marfin Bank.
