The minister without a portfolio in charge of European integration, Jadranka Joksimovic, has confirmed that Germany has authorized the opening of another two chapters in the pre-accession negotiation of Serbia and the EU and that she expected them to be opened on June 20.

Joksimovic said for Pink that Serbia had received approval by 22 countries for the opening of Chapter 29 and of 23 countries for Chapter 7, and that Germany had greenlighted the opening of both.

According to her, all this contributes to the stability of Serbia.

The Radio-Television of Serbia earlier reported that Germany had consented to another two chapters' being opened – 29 (Customs Union) and 7 (Intellectual Property). RTS learned that it was expected that the two chapters would be opened during the Intergovernmental Conference in Luxembourg on June 20.

A total of eight of 35 negotiation chapters have been opened so far, whereas two have been temporarily closed.
