The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Marko Cadez, announced on June 1 that Mlekara Sabac was to build a factory in Russia. The factory will be completed in six to eight months and its capacity will match that of the biggest milk producers in the Balkans.

At the panel Serbia-Russia: Possibilities of Economic Cooperation, organized by Tanjug on the first day of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017 (SPIEF 2017), Cadez announced exclusively that the factory had completed negotiations about the construction of the facility in Russia.

– This dairy, which exports 75% of its white cheese to Russia, has completed negotiations about the construction of a factory in the country, which will, once it’s completed, be able to produce 450 tons of milk a day. This is a capacity matching that of the biggest dairies in the Balkans, which is great news and the direction we want to go in – Cadez said.

He pointed out at the gathering that the number of Serbian companies in Russia was constantly growing and that there were 815 of them at the moment, whereas there had been under 700 a year before.
