A new facility of the Italian factory Aunde, in which 370 people are employed, opened in Jagodina on May 10.

The value of the investment is around EUR 4 million, and Aunde already has one production hall in the Jagodina Industrial Zone, which started operating in 2014 and where 254 people are employed. The new facility, which is located next to the first factory, produces car seat covers for Iveco and Mercedes.

The car seat cover factory was opened by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, Mayor of Jagodina Dragan Markovic Palma and the owner of the factory, Enrico Vergnano.

Dragan Markovic Palma said that the opening of Aunde's new facility confirmed that the Italian investor was satisfied with the business conditions offered by the city and Serbia on the whole. He announced the employment of 1,100 before the end of the year, as well as new investors from Germany and the US.

The opening of the factory was also attended by Deputy Ambassador of Italy Sergio Monti.

Aunde has 85 factories in 25 states and employs 12,500 workers. Jagodina earlier received subsidies of EUR 6,000 per employee for the construction of the factory in Jagodina from the Republic of Serbia, whereas the Ministry of Economy approved subsidies of EUR 3,461 per employee.
