The Government of Serbia has extended the deadline for the submission of non-binding bids in the procedure of the concession of the Nikola Tesla Airport by May 30, says the ad published in today's issue of Politika.
This is the third extension of the deadline by the state. A total of 27 interested companies applied to the pre-qualifying contest for the Nikola Tesla Airport.
The previous extension defined the deadline as May 15, whereas, previously, it was
April 24.
The ad says that the extension was made “at the request of a large number of qualified participants”.
This is only the first phase of the procedure, in which bids in no way binding for the interested potential concessionaires are submitted.
The latest ad also says that the deadlines are being extended in order for the interested bidders to be able to exercise the right of “forming consortiums with third parties”. These are so-called adjoined members of consortiums, and the ad says that there have been many questions regarding this.
The sending of binding bids should start on June 1, provided there are no new extensions. The second phase of the procedure should end in late August.
The public invitation was opened on February 10.
