Aunde Italia Group, which has had a car seat and interior factory in Jagodina since March 2014, will open a new production hall on May 10, it was said for Tanjug at the City Assembly on May 8.

The production hall in question is an extension of the current factory, and the construction started in late October 2016. A total of 400 new workers will be employed in the new facility, as agreed prior to the construction.

The beginning of the construction was symbolically marked on October 28, 2016, by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Mayor of Jagodina Dragan Markovic Palma, by laying down the foundation stone.

The Ministry of Economy approved the subsidy of EUR 3,461 in incentives per employee for the new Aunde hall.

Dragan Markovic Palma said at the press conference on the occasion of the signing of the agreement on the construction of the new hall that Aunde had contracted a job with Mercedes and that it was building the new hall for that purpose.

The Aunde factory is located in the Industrial Zone in the Italijanska Street, named so for the fact that three factories of Italian investors operate there.

The factory employs 250 workers.
