Good start of 2017 for Bosch – Sales grow by 12% in first quarter
As stated in the company's press release, considering the current economic perspective and geopolitical uncertainty, Bosch plans a growth of sales by 3 to 5 % in the current year. In addition to considerable investments in maintaining the company's future, the results are expected to grow.
– The current success gives us freedom to shape the world of the future – said Dr Volkmar Denner, CEO of Bosch, at the annual press conference at the Bosch research campus in Renningen.
He pointed out that strategies for the process of transformation of Bosch are to enhance the current operations, to open new areas of doing business and to take a position of technological leadership. The main points of this transformation are changes in the sphere of mobility and connecting through the Internet of Things.
Bosch increased its R&D expenditures to EUR 7 billion in 2016, whereas last year's sales reached EUR 73.1 billion, a growth of 3.6% and 5.5% respectively, accounting for exchange differences.
