Transfer tax at Airport "Nikola Tesla" to be returned from 16.5 to 4 EUR
Transfer tax at Airport "Nikola Tesla" will be returned from 16.5 EUR to 4 EUR. This decision has been made at the meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister Božidar Đelić and management of the Airport and company "Jat Airways".
It has been confirmed at the meeting that security tax of 4.5 EUR will be introduced and that tax will affirmate Airport "Nikola Tesla" as one of the best secured airports in Europe, which is an important part of the action plan for putting Serbia on the white Schengen list.
Also, it has been agreed that the protocol on regulation of relations between the two companies should be made prior to Monday.
The protocol will define the transition period, during which European standards in financial and business relations will be met.
In the past few days, "Jat Airways" expressed dissatisfaction with the introduction of new security taxes in amount of 4.5 EUR at the Airport starting from July 14th, as well as with the amount of transfer tax of 16.5 EUR, pointing out that that directs passengers to other airports in the region and inflicts damage to the development of air transportation in Serbia.
