Public invitation for RTB Bor management team extended – New bid submission deadline expires in late May 2017

The public invitation for the selection of a professional management for consulting and running RTB Bor will be extended by another month (the original expiration date was April 28), and bids may be sent by the end of May.

Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic confirmed for RTS that there are interested parties and that the deadline was being extended at the request of the bidders.

The management team is to run the Bor giant until a strategic partner is found. The documentation to be submitted is extensive and includes a development strategy, business plans, sales and measures to be brought in line with the Pre-Packaged Reorganization Plan, which has been in effect since November 2016.

– Our desire is to, above all, hire a professional management team for a start, and then to practically find a strategic partner along with the professional management once the state has stabilized, as Bor needs big investments – said Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic.

Interested parties need to propose at least 10 managers, and the plan is for the management team to enter RTB Bor by this summer.
