Traffic at Nis Airport triples in 2017
Djurdjanovic said that the Nis Airport had transported a record number of 125,000 passengers in 2017.
– For the third year in a row, the airport has a growth of over 300% in both passenger and cargo transport – Djurdjanovic said.
He said that more than 1,300 tons of goods had been transported since the beginning of the year and that it was realistic to expect that the 2017 plan of 2,500 tons would be exceeded.
Djurdjanovic said that the airport building’s roof was being repaired at the moment and announced setting up a new fence around the airport.
– This is an investment worth RSD 40 million, which will be realized with the city’s help. To that end, the Council adopted amendments to the business program of the PE Nis Airport today – Djurdjanovic said.
According to him, the fence around the Constantine the Great Airport was built around 1986 and no longer meets international air traffic standards.
