Knjazevac to issue municipal bonds

Secretary General of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities Djordje Stanicic and Mayor of Knjazevac Milan Djokic signed an agreement on the realization of the project of issuing municipal bonds on April 19. The project is to act as an instrument for building the infrastructure and enhancing the business climate locally, the municipality’s website says.

The Municipality of Knjazevac will issue municipal bonds, thereby providing the citizens, natural and legal persons, with an opportunity to financially support those projects they believe to be important. Furthermore, the citizens will be able to earn as well, as the accrual will exceed that from the interest rates on savings accounts in banks, Djokic said.
