Kac-based Unimet enters supply system of General Electric
Unimet provides its customers with CNC turned and machined parts, sheet metal parts, assembling and testing of parts and instruments. The company employs more than 250 people and is headquartered in Kac, whereas the production takes place in Kac and Rudnik. Nearly 100% of its products are exported.
Among the most popular Unimet products are flow management units, valves, laser devices for the construction industry, sub-assemblies for pick-and-place machines for the electronic industry, packing machine components and pneumatic device components.
What set apart Unimet from other local companies, following the GE Sourcing Day, is the high quality of its products, stable finances, high EHS standards and competitive prices, says General Electric.
– Unimet is one of the 70 companies which showed to have the potential to meet our top operating criteria regarding the quality of products, production volume, price and terms of delivery. We believe that we will see other Serbian companies in our chain of suppliers in the future – said Gaetano Massara, CEO of GE for South East Europe.
The GE Sourcing Day was initiated in 2015 to the end of including Serbian companies in the global supply process of General Electric and strengthening the production capacities and stimulating the export of select local companies.
