Mayor of Indjija Vladimir Gak and representative of Quass Dusko Zdjelar, have signed a protocol on the construction of a new kvass and non-carbonated drink factory. The raw materials will initially be imported from Russia, and the plan is to make an agreement with local fruit producers.

A 5,000-m2 factory hall will be raised on an area of slightly above 2 hectares, and the value of the investment amounts to around EUR 4.5 million, as reported on the website of the Municipality of Indjija.

In the first stage, the factory will produce 4 million glass bottles of kvass, and the plan is to triple the production in two years.

The next step in the realization of the investment is the disposal of municipal land and acquiring a building permit. The works are expected to start in roughly a month, and around 100 people will be employed following the completion of all construction stages.

Zdjelar said that Indjija was the best geographical location for investment and that it was another reason why it had been chosen.
