Milanovic Inzenjering to produce rail car bodies for Austrian Railways – Facility to expand to 60,000 m2 by 2021



The company employs 420 workers, and its core activities are engineering, construction and production of aluminum components and auxiliary tools for the rail vehicle industry, as well as designing technological solutions and facilities in the field of treating potable, processed and waste water.
The facility has 25,000 square meters, and the company plans to expand the production facility to 60,000 square meters by 2021. The company started operating in 2000 and is 100% Serbian-owned.
The company's director, Bratislav Milanovic, says that the company aims “to expand the operations and grow, to get to the final product and to export globally attractive products from Serbia”. He added that, with partners such as Siemens, and with the support of the Government of Serbia, the goal might be achieved very quickly.
The company also recognized the significance of dual education more than ten years ago. They cooperate with the Polytechnic School in Kragujevac, as well as science and research institutions such as the Faculty of Engineering in Kragujevac, the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade...
