The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport recorded a drop in profit in 2016, despite an increase in revenues and the absence of claim write-offs.

The biggest local airport recorded RSD 8.5 billion in revenues in 2016, a growth of 5.1% compared to 2015, thanks to increased passenger and cargo volume.

The company's operating profit dropped by 4.2% to RSD 3.5 billion, partly due to a higher cost of salaries, whereas the net profit dropped by 10.3% to under RSD 3 billion.

The airport's shares recorded the biggest YTD growth within Belex15. Despite last week's drop, the airport recorded a growth of 15% YTD, whereas its market capitalization amounts to RSD 45.6 billion (EUR 367.8 million) at the current price of RSD 1,330, Wisebroker reports.
