Company EFT started construction of Steam Power Plant "Stanari" - investment worth 650m EUR

Power Company EFT has announced that the construction of Steam Power Plant "Stanari" near Doboj has started and that over 650m EUR will be invested in it.

According to the announcement, the steam power plant will be producing about 3,000 GWh of electricity per year, which is one fourth of total production of electric energy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EFT obtained concession for construction and use of steam power plant on February 14th, 2008.

The Manager of Communications in EFT Group, Nenad Savić, said on that occasion that the construction of the first steam power plant on the territory of former Yugoslavia in the past 30 years should be completed in the second half of year 2012. According to the announcements, about 3,000 people will be working on the construction of the plant.

The foundation stone for the future administrative building was laid on Saturday, May 17th, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, President of EFT, Vuk Hamović, and Mayor of Doboj, Obren Petrović.
