Golden award for Serbian-Egyptian app at Dubai Lynx

The web app Ghaneely, developed by the Belgrade-based company TailorMade Production in cooperation with the Egyptian advertising agency FP7, has won the first prize at the prestigious Dubai Lynx Awards event. This is the most important creative industry festival in the Middle East, exhibiting works from all countries of the Middle East and Northern Africa.

The company won the award in the Media/Use of Social Platforms category, the press release by TailorMade Production says.

The creative idea is the work of FP7, which carries the McCann Erickson license for the Middle East, whereas the design and the production were in charge of TailorMade.

The campaign served to promote the music streaming app and was carried out for the Egyptian telecom operator Orange.

The promo app is interactive, and users can choose the music genre while watching a video.

– The challenge was to match the video to various musical themes and genres, in line with our partner's creative idea. That's what makes this app interesting and different. It's all perfectly synchronized, so that the dance fits with any song you might choose. We had experimented with lots of music styles, but in the end we decided to opt for local music. The campaign has gone viral and users have even created their own content based on the video and shared it on social networks – says Milos Tanasijevic, Digital Manager at TailorMade Production.

The website and the app have spread throughout social networks overnight, becoming one of the most interesting things to share. The Ghaneely app has had over 20 million views on social networks in several months.
