Chips Way Cacak to open new facility in May – Value of investment EUR 2.5 million

The owner of the company Chips Way, Tomislav Bajovic, and Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic signed an agreement on the construction of a new facility worth EUR 2.5 million on Saturday, March 11, 2017, the Government of Serbia website reports.

The state will invest EUR 592.000 for 100 new employees in the facility, which is scheduled to open in early May.

The facility in question is to produce snacks, consisting of a popcorn production line and a HASTAMAT packing center.

Chips Way exports 45% of what it produces, and the rest is meant for the local market.


The factory currently employs 95 workers, and an additional 45, currently employed under trial periods, will be employed starting with April 1. Next year, Chips Way will employ an additional 25 people and another 30 in 2019, making for a total of 100 newly employed in three years.

The sales plan for 2017 amounts to 2,300, including the new line, a growth of 57%.
