Air Serbia transports 2.62 million passengers in 2016 – Growth of cargo transport 31%

The national airline Air Serbia transported 2.62 million passengers during 2016, which is 3% more than in 2015. The company realized 33,171 regular and charter flights.

As Air Serbia reported on Thursday, February 23, 2017, the growth of cargo transport amounted to 31%, and 4,913 tons were transported in 2016.

New routes to New York, St Petersburg, Kiev, Hamburg and Ohrid were established, bringing the number of destinations the airline flies to up to 44.

CEO Dane Kondic stated that Air Serbia had continued growing by providing more choice and benefits to passengers in Serbia, South East Europe, the Middle East and North America.


– We will continue focusing on long-term sustainable growth of Air Serbia in 2017 in order to ensure the fulfillment of commercial goals set by our two strategic partners, the Government of Serbia and Etihad Airways – Kondic said.
