Share of construction sector in Serbia's GDP to be increased to at least 7% – State aims to place in Doing Business top 20
– The government has done a lot in the field of construction, and the main goal in the next two years will be to increase the share of construction in the GDP even more – Mihajlovic said and added that the numbers showed that the environment for investors had improved, as well as that Serbia had a developed real estate market.
Mihajlovic pointed out that regional connecting and removal of all obstacles were also important.
– Serbia has made a lot of important steps in the field of construction and created conditions for others to be able to invest. The average time needed to issue a building permit in Serbia is six days. In the next few months, the land administration and land register will be improved – Mihajlovic.
She said that the goal was to have Serbia among the top 20 countries on the World Bank's Doing Business lost by 2020 at the latest.
– These are not promises, but concrete plans we intend to realize – Mihajlovic said.
The minister says that Serbia will invite all big investors to invest here to the end of developing the economy and raising the standard of living.
– In the coming period, we need to show that the supply and demand market in the cities can be developed so that it is able to satisfy everyone's needs – she added.
She also reminded that 55 factories had opened along Corridor 10 in the previous two years and invited investors to make investments and open their companies along the corridor.
